Kiki Summer 2017

Kiki poster framed in white wood.

Local artist Kiki Boucher first came to Shelter Island in 1978. Since then, the initial attraction
only deepened and the Island has claimed her as a full-time resident since 2017. Kiki first chose
Shelter Island as the subject of her iconic graphic posters to thank her two friends who found
a house for her in The Heights in 2004. The first poster was designed in 2005 beginning what
became a stunning series with each summerʼs new twist on the theme. Today there are 15 pieces
in the collection including 2023. These are wonderful depictions — equal parts joy and
devotion — of our beloved Island
